Hint for disposal of lawn clippings: - Do not dispose of grass cuttings around the base of tree trunks so as to raise the level of soil up the trunk. It may take a number of years but eventually collar rot or infestations of borers or microbial attack and root girdling can kill your beautiful trees that took so long to grow.
Leaving every 3 or 4 lots of grass clippings on the lawn recycles nitrogen into the grass that is a much-needed nutrient.
